2 — FLAVOURFUL BREAKFASTS
At Globetrotters Bed and Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake, we take full advantage of the seasonally fresh produce. Our breakfasts are all about variety, healthy nutrition, fresh preparation and expert presentation. No one in Niagara-on-the-Lake does it like Fernando. In fact, some guests want to take him home. Breakfasts are served daily between 8:30 and 10 a.m. in our bright breakfast room or, weather permitting, under our gazebo on our outdoor terrace or on our covered veranda. A plate of seasonal fresh fruit, home-baked croissants or freshly baked muffins and breads, orange juice and coffee are followed by Fernando’s much-anticipated hot “daily special.”
3 — ELEGANT, COMFORTABLE GUEST ROOMS
“Your website pictures do not do your rooms justice!” Such is the reaction from guests checking in for the first time. Two large suites occupy our second floor, each of which can accommodate up to four guests. LE MOULIN ROUGE features a queen canopy bed, a chaise longue, and two single beds while the deluxe two-room SULTAN’S TENT suite down the hall includes a queen brass bed and two single beds. Downstairs on the main floor, our compact 110-square-foot (plus ensuite) CRYSTAL PALACE guest room, with its queen bed and unique headboard and matching boudoir chair by Jane Hall, is perfect for single occupants or those who are not able to negotiate stairs or for those looking for less expensive accommodation. Guests sleep soundly on the most comfortable mattresses we could find and all bed linens are 100% cotton. Open your windows to enjoy fresh evening breezes, or if you prefer, we also have central air conditioning as well as ceiling fans to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Guests never share any washroom facilities as each guest room features its own sleek, modern three-piece ensuite (in-room) washroom with walk-in shower facilities. Shampoos, shower gels, hand soaps and body lotions are high-quality natural products from the local NEOB Lavender Boutique. And whenever possible, we hang-dry our sheets outdoors for that fresh-air scent you can’t get from a bottle.
4 — A QUIET WELCOMING HAVEN
Our peaceful neighbourhood is just a 20-minute stroll or two-minute drive to Queen Street in Old Town. We encourage guests to enjoy our surroundings, inside and out. Our Great Room features a fireplace and satellite TV. The library is a perfect spot for a complimentary cup of tea or coffee and a good book. There’s also free Wi-Fi service, a guest refrigerator for your convenience and complimentary on-site parking. Outside, our covered gazebo and veranda are set up with tables and chairs where you are welcome to enjoy the wine you’ve purchased from a local winery.
